Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the Tallyvox website and services. We keep it plain-English on purpose — honesty is the product.

1. Who we are

Tallyvox is operated by Tallyvox, operating from the United States. We operate from the United States and serve businesses worldwide. For the personal data described here, Tallyvox is the data controller. Where the law where you live gives you extra privacy rights, those rights still apply.

2. What we collect

3. Cookies

Tallyvox uses strictly-necessary cookies — the ones that keep you signed in, keep portals secure, and stop abuse (rate-limiting and duplicate-submission guards). These are required for the site to work, so they don’t need consent.

Everything else is off until you switch it on, and comes in two separate choices:

Saying yes to one is not saying yes to the other, and if you chose before we offered the Marketing category, that choice counts as a no. Neither ever loads on a private report link or an emailed approval link. You can review or change your choices at any time via Cookie preferences in the footer.

4. How we use your information

To produce the report or service you asked for and deliver it to you; to follow up about it; to run your account and portal; to send the newsletter if you subscribed; and to keep the Services secure and reliable. Every marketing email we send carries a working unsubscribe link, honoured immediately.

5. Our legal bases

Where required (for example under the GDPR), we rely on: performance of a contract (to deliver a service you requested); our legitimate interests (to run, secure and improve the Services and to follow up on a scan you asked for); your consent (for the newsletter and any future non-essential cookies), which you can withdraw at any time; and compliance with legal obligations.

6. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with the service providers that run this site and send its email (for example hosting, database, and email delivery), and only as needed to operate the Services. We never sell your data, and we don’t share it with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

7. International transfers

We operate from the United States, so if you are outside the U.S. your information is transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

8. How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, accounting and dispute-resolution purposes, then delete or anonymize it. If you ask us to delete your records, we do.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email support@tallyvox.com and we’ll act on it. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

10. Security

We protect your information with access controls, encryption in transit, and least-privilege practices. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data as carefully as we’d want ours treated.

11. Children

Tallyvox is a business service and isn’t directed to children. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

12. Changes

We may update this policy as the Services evolve; the “last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
